Politics.
One of the best points made in Reading the Media was that whether or not we liked a presidential candidate had very little to do with how well they’d do as a president. When I was browsing around bookface today, I found a poll asking if Hillary’s “emotional moment” will help her or hurt her. Most people voted that it would hurt her. This is ridiculous. I am not for Hillary; however, the fact that people are letting a few tears affect their votes is absurd. I don’t care if the tears were fake, real, or get votes. How does that have anything to do with her ability to run a country? Though the event was much more extreme, It’s simlar to when Clinton had an affair in the white house. Yes, it was an awful thing to do, but does it affect how well he can govern a country?

Clinton crying makes me uncomfortable. She lost once, and doesn't have the confidence to stand up and go on to triumph in the coming, far more important battles? If the tears were a political ploy, then damn, will she lead the nation with the same kinds of despicable tricks? Now, I don't think Hillary would have done that, but her lack of resolve does irk me.
The country is in for a tough times, and whoever wins will have to put up with a lot of hate from a lot of directions. If Hillary doesn't have the strength and perspective to take one loss in stride, how will she take a nation nearing freefall?
Hillary was crying when she spoke about her own personal beliefs about the nation. From my view, she was speaking passionately. There's a difference to crying at that than crying at, say, Obama calling her out on something. (Which he has done.)
I don't see how that shows a lack of resolve. If it WAS real, then it was a human moment. (Key word there being was.)
Also, why do so many people claim that crying means weakness? I think it takes a good amount of strength to cry in public, because there is so much judgment that happens IF you do. And from what I saw in the video, I couldn't even see any tears. Her voice cracked, sure, but she still remained compose.
This is still the same kind of argument that happened to Bill Clinton got. You're logic here seems to be, "If she cries in public she can't handle being president" but what about "If he got a blow job in the office from a woman who wasn't even his wife, then he must be bastard because he was a bastard in this one instance. Therefore, he'll be a bastard in the ways he runs the country!"
I think that we forget that these people are still human. I personally don't believe that Hillary was acting in that instance, but that's just my take on it.
One instance is not a defining moment. Even if she did cry, I don't think she'll use "other despicable tricks" on the country. I'm not for Hillary, like stated above, but politics are turning more into watching a celebrity drama show, and it's ridiculous. Her crying has NOTHING to do with how she'd run the country.
It made me uncomfortable too that she cried. (Mostly because I knew it'd get so much media cover.) But it doesn't show me that she wouldn't be able to run the country.
Besides, either way, if she does win, she'll still be better than Bush.
